    Learning that connects different cultures and values

    The Faculty of Global Studies is divided into three majors. The Japanese Studies and International Communication major fosters individuals who can actively share "Japan" in a multicultural environment where students learn alongside international peers. A Japanese language teaching program is also offered. The International Exchange and International Cooperation major, guided by the motto "Think & Act," encourages students to consider global issues facing international society and take practical actions toward their resolution. The International Society and International Information major focuses on understanding the rapidly changing trends in global information and the circumstances around the world, enabling students to plan, execute, and communicate their actions on how to engage with the world.

    The Faculty of Foreign Studies is divided into four majors. The English Communication major cultivates individuals with English proficiency and digital skills applicable in business settings through all-English seminars and the development of thinking and communication skills in English. The English Liberal Arts major fosters "globally applicable knowledge and language skills" by offering a broad liberal arts education and practical English presentation skills. The German and European Culture major enables students to engage in discussions and presentations in German by focusing intensively on German language studies during their first and second years, while also preparing them for overseas employment or relocation after graduation. The Chinese and Asian Global major offers a pathway from short-term study in Taiwan to long-term study in China, South Korea, and Taiwan. It emphasizes acquiring Chinese language skills that allow for nuanced understanding and strengthens collaboration skills through additional Korean language study, connecting with the broader Asian world.

    Towards becoming the talent needed in the future economic society

    The Department of Economics offers a single major. In the Economics major, students learn the basics of economics in their first year while discovering their own interests. In the second year, they choose one of four courses to acquire specialized knowledge and skills.

    ・Economics Course
    Students study a wide range of economic fields and develop logical and empirical analytical skills. They deeply engage in solving various economic issues and familiar social challenges.
    ・Tourism and Regional Revitalization Course
    Students explore the causes of regional and environmental industry challenges and use economics to devise solutions. They collaborate with governments and businesses to tackle real-world issues.
    ・Economic Data Science Course
    By studying statistics and programming, students gain the ability to analyze and evaluate data. They aim to become professionals capable of evidence-based policy planning and evaluation.
    ・International Economics and Finance Course
    Students study international issues such as energy problems, conflicts, and poverty, while also focusing on domestic issues in Japan. The goal is to become globally minded economic professionals with expertise in economics and finance.

    The Faculty of Business Administration is divided into four majors. The Business Design major teaches design thinking methodologies and cultivates talent capable of creating new corporate value, products, and services. There are also many corporate collaboration projects and marketing classes. The AI and Business major covers the fundamentals of business administration and AI principles in the first and second years and focuses on applied DX design skills in the third and fourth years. Students can also learn programming and acquire IT-related certifications. The Family Business major focuses on solutions and preventative measures for various issues faced by family businesses, such as business succession, innovation, and governance, while fostering entrepreneurial spirit. The Sports Business major develops individuals who can create diverse values in sports and generate new business models, products, and services. Students also participate in joint projects with professional clubs and companies.
