JCAEMCE (Japan China Asia Educational Medical Cultural Exchange Foundation), (hereinafter referred to as "the Foundation") is engaged in the development, organization, and administration of the Japan University Examination. Given the nature of our business, we consider the protection of personal information to be of utmost importance. We recognize that implementing appropriate security measures is a societal responsibility. Therefore, we have established a personal information protection policy and developed a personal information protection management system to ensure its effective implementation.
When collecting personal information, we will first specify the purpose of use and collect it using lawful and appropriate means within the scope necessary to achieve that purpose. The personal information collected includes names, ages, addresses, identification numbers, email addresses, phone numbers, etc. We will handle the collected personal information only within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes for which the individual has given consent and will take appropriate and sufficient measures to prevent its use for purposes other than those specified.
If a minor under the age of 18 wishes to take the JPUE, the collection of personal information for minors under 18 will be required, so consent from a guardian must be obtained.
If a new purpose for using personal information arises, we will inform you accordingly and seek your consent. If there is a need to provide personal information, it will be done only with the consent of the individual, except as required by law.
However, in the following cases, personal information may be provided without prior consent in accordance with the domestic laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China:(※1)
1. To fulfill obligations stipulated by laws and regulations.
2. In cases related to national security and national defense.
3. In cases related to public safety, public health, and significant public interests.
4. In cases related to criminal investigations, prosecution, trials, and 5. enforcement of judgments.
5. When there is sufficient evidence indicating legal violations or abuse of rights.
6. When rapid response is needed to protect life, property, or other legitimate rights.
7. When there is a need to prevent significant damage to legitimate rights or to comply with confidentiality requirements.
8. When personal information is necessary for reporting or monitoring that prioritizes public interest.
Our organization will not disclose personal information to related companies or third parties without the individual's prior consent, except for the release of statistical data.
However, in cases outlined in the previous section (※1), personal information may be disclosed without prior consent in accordance with the domestic laws of the People's Republic of China.
The association will establish a management system and implement appropriate security measures to ensure the accuracy and safety of personal information. We will work to prevent and correct unauthorized access, loss, destruction, alteration, and leakage of personal information.
However, in cases described in item 1 (※1), we may not be able to accommodate requests based on the domestic laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China.
Our organization will handle the personal information of users obtained during the operation of this examination in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
The personal information of JPUE examinees collected by our organization is stored on servers within China. After the examination, some of this information is shared with servers in Japan for the purposes of scoring, grade management, and issuance of grade certificates.
Our organization respects individuals' rights regarding their personal information. If individuals request the disclosure, correction, addition, or deletion of their information, suspension of its use, deletion, or cessation of its provision to third parties, or if they make complaints or inquiries about their personal information, we will respond promptly and appropriately in accordance with relevant laws, national guidelines, and other applicable standards.
If there are any doubts about the operation of our organization that require correction or deletion, or if you suspect that account or password information may have been leaked, please contact the personal information inquiry office listed in the final section of this policy immediately.
JCAEMCE continuously improves our management system of personal information based on results of regular audit, reorganization of legislation and change in social environment.
